1-year old's logic I

Leon points at biscuit and nods.
'Leon - moechtest Du einen Schuh auf den Kopf?
(Would you like a shoe on your head?)'
Leon grins all over and nods frantically...
and, needless to say, gets biscuit.

3-year old's logic I

'Suza-anne'
'Ye-es'
'Why is Spiderman called Spiderman?'
'Well, what do you think?' I cunningly throw the question back and frantically mime spidernet-throwing with my wrists.
'Because he wears a Spiderman costume'.
Doh.

Skiing and wellness in the French Alps

From les menuires ...

It was fabulous!! The four-day combination of exercise at high altitude in full sunshine, uninterrupted sleep, sauna and half-board did its trick. I came home to a houseful of suffering snotties feeling wonderfully rested and well.

The big mountain in the back ground is Mont Blanc. The picture was taken at 2820 m altitude on Mont de la Chambre near Les Menuires by Mike.

Christmas photos

Our Christmas'06 pictures.
Noteworthy visits to Pups (see last post), Berlin Zoo, Cafe Aroma, Christmas Market in Berlin-Spandau, which is not to be attempted without a measure of rum in your mulled wine particularly in slushy winter mush weather; and the Ethnological Museum in Berlin-Dahlem .
Other worthy note: Leon walking long distances in large rooms of Grunewald Villa.

Pups Berlin

If it's good enough for Brad and Ange, it's worth a try for our boys. We only found out about the celebrity endorsement after we had been. I am talking about Pups, of course, a softplay-cum-Cafe in the centre of Berlin (Mitte), very close to where the wall used to be. It's close to many of Berlin's historical and cultural must-see's and as such easily combined with some sight seeing. We spent a jolly morning there: the boys in the ball pit, on tractors or on the slides; us growmops watching on from the cafe-part, or joining in.

Catching up

We have been busy since our last entry:

went to the Perigord to visit Auntie Jan, Grangran, Nigel and Fanny;
to Tre'r-ddol (West Wales) to meet Mike and Louise's new baby, Kate;
to St Albans (Hertfordshire) for a Christmas meal with Grandad, Auntie Neela and family;
and to Berlin (Germany) for Christmas with Opa, Oma, Barbara and Bernie.

Best broken down into bite-sized chunks, methinks.
